This chateau was founded in 1754 by Irish wool merchant Jacques Boyd.
The Guilmet family acquired the Chateau in 1932, and in 1997, Lucian Guilmet, the fourth generation, became the head of the family, and has attracted attention for its remarkable improvement in quality.
The aging process takes place in oak barrels for 15 months, with a new barrel ratio of 87%.
