About us
Historic Kokubun Group
It is a long-established company founded in 1712.

The company was founded by the fourth generation of Kokubun Kanbei, who opened its store in Nihonbashi Honmachi, Edo under the name "Okuniya." It is recorded that when it was founded, he worked on kimono and began a soy sauce brewing business.
Later, in 1880 (Meiji 13), he withdraws from the soy sauce brewing industry and converts to food wholesale, and is now in its present day. The Kokubun Group's spirit of valuing trust and ability to respond to changes in the environment are the driving force behind it.
Kokubun Group as a food wholesale business
As a food "wholesale," we deliver food throughout Japan.

Japan has a large number of retail stores and a large number of food manufacturers, and we are able to meet the diverse needs of consumers, such as regional and seasonal changes. The food wholesale business is located halfway between manufacturers and retail businesses, and has a wide selection of domestic and international products and in-house developed products, providing a stable supply of products that meet the needs of our customers.
The food wholesale business has a variety of functions, including logistics that deliver products accurately and quickly, supporting sales areas through planning proposals, and using information to properly assortment products, and is responsible for streamlining and optimizing food distribution.
Kokubun Group as a manufacturer
Another face. The Kokubun Group is a manufacturer.

The Kokubun Group was engaged in the soy sauce brewing business from the time of its founding until the beginning of the Meiji period. Since then, it has been handling manufacturers' products as a food wholesale business, and has developed and sold Kokubu brand products such as "K&K."
Currently, we are engaged in a wide variety of products, including products from K&K, tabete, paulownia, and Create brands, as well as side dishes. We are also working on collaborations with manufacturers, passing on local culture and developing products that make use of materials.
