This is an exceptional piece in which a young artist has depicted the stem (Note 1) as a single chrysanthemum flower, and applied the technique of akae saibyō (red enamel fine painting) to each and every petal (Note 2).
This glass is perfect for enjoying all kinds of alcoholic beverages, wines, and other drinks. Sake sommeliers use it for tasting sake, and wines. Pour the drink to the widest point of the glass and enjoy the color and aroma.
The stem (Note 1) is made of Kutani ware, and the bowl is made of glass from RONA, a Slovakian company.
Note 1: This refers to the stem that supports the glass.
Note 2: Petals refer to flower petals.

■What is Kutani ware?
Kutani ware is a type of porcelain characterized by its unique and gorgeous painting style, based on five colors (green, yellow, purple, dark blue, and red). It was nurtured by the culture of Kaga, a region known for its wealth and prosperity. With a history spanning over 360 years, its exquisite brushwork and bold compositions continue to captivate viewers.
■ Akae Saibyo style <br> The Akae Saibyo style is one of the most popular styles among Kutani ware.
The traditional style involves meticulously depicting figures and birds and flowers in red, filling the surrounding area with small patterns, and adding gold accents. However, in recent years, modern interpretations by emerging artists have also emerged.
