Barton & Guestier Ducher Duze Heritage Red
A special cuvée from Bordeaux's oldest maison
Duché Duzée AC. A terroir that spreads out to the west of the town of Uzès in the southern Rhône Valley. The number indicates B&G's anniversary year, and it is a special cuvée that marks the new vintage. Moderately dense ruby color. The aroma has expressive spice aromas of black pepper and cardamom, as well as nuances of ripe black fruits such as blackberry and blackcurrant. The taste is refreshing with a touch of mint and menthol, followed by soft flavors of cassis and nutmeg. It has bright acidity and refined tannins, but is a bit firm in body.
AC is an abbreviation for "Appellation Contrôle", which translates to "Controlled Designation of Origin" in Japanese. It is a certification given by the French government to guarantee the superiority of agricultural and dairy products in France.
