The second wine of Château Pédesclaux, a Fifth Growth estate in the Médoc classification.
Compared to other châteaux in Pauillac, it has a gentler character. The producer is skilled at using Petit Verdot. Since 2014, it has been vinified in new winemaking equipment employing a gravity system. Despite the extremely warm weather, 2022 surprised us with its balance and freshness. A unique blend that brings together the best quality from Pédesclaux's past three great vintages, 2022 combines the energy of 2018, the concentration and freshness of 2019, and the linearity of 2020. An exceptional vintage, 2022 shows a rare depth of color, while the concentration and body of the Merlot create a supple taste. Petit Verdot provides a floral touch and remarkable tannic finesse, while Cabernet Franc adds spicy notes, further enhancing the wine's depth. Cabernet Sauvignon is beautifully integrated, giving 2022 a certain dynamism and Pauillac character.
