The second wine of Château de Camensac, a Fifth Growth estate in the Médoc classification.
This château is located west of the village of Saint-Julien.
The second wine, "Closerie de Camensac," means "Camensac's small farm" and is made from grapes from young vines.
The color is a brilliant dark ruby. Before stirring the glass, the aroma is lightly woody with hints of vanilla, and after stirring, it reveals vanilla and chocolate. The attack is straightforward, the tannins are fine and create a firm structure with good volume.
It is recommended to open the bottle one hour beforehand.
Château de Camensac and Château Chasse-Spleen share the same owners. Céline Villard-Houbet and Jean-Pierre Houbet are the current owners.
