Castel Blanc
Perfect for hospitality Spain's leading cava brand
Castelblanc is located in the gentle hills of San Sadurni da Noia, a small village in the Penedes region, about 40km southwest of Barcelona.
With a typical Mediterranean climate, blessed with an ideal environment for cava production, with plenty of sunlight and low rainfall, this area attracts over 100 cava manufacturers, producing 80% of the total cava production.
Castelblanc was founded in 1908 by Geroni Mo Pararera as one of the oldest Cava wineries.
At the time, it was nothing more than a small, family-run brewery, but in 1929, it quickly gained attention and gained its unwavering position as it is now.
When it was first founded, it was written as "Castellblanch" in Catalan, and in local pronunciation it was called "Castellblanch" because it did not read the last "ch" in local pronunciation, and in other regions it was called "Castellblanch." With its high quality, its name became known worldwide, and the brand's spelling was changed to "Castellblanc."
This name comes from the name of the former residence of the Pararera family, surrounded by white exterior walls.
