The Junmai Ginjo Nama Genshu "Komashibori" is an unfiltered sake that has just been pressed and can only be tasted at the brewery.
It is freshly squeezed and has not been processed in any way, so it is golden yellow in color and contains precipitated yeast and other sediments, but this does not affect the quality.
Enjoy the refreshing aroma and mellow flavor of this new sake.
<< Introduction to Hakuryu Sake Brewery≫
Hakuryu Sake Brewery is located in Agano City, southeast of Niigata City, Niigata Prefecture, which is famous for Lake Hyo, where swans come to spend the winter.
The brewery was founded in 1839 (Tenpo 10). While many people who started sake breweries in Echigo were landowners, the brewery was founded in Niigata, a port city that was booming due to the Kitamae ships that traded with Hokkaido. The brewery's origins date back to 1839, when the founder, Sasaya Mozaemon, split off from the main family, which ran a shipping wholesaler, and opened a brewery here.
<< Commitment to ingredients≫
Hakuryu Sake Brewery mainly produces sake using Gohyakumangoku rice, which is Niigata's most well-known rice variety and is ideal for sake brewing.
For over 20 years, sake rice has been grown by members of the Sake Rice Council, which was established together with farmers in the former Suibaramachi area and JA Kitakama Minami, and they hold annual discussions to improve the quality of the sake rice.
Currently, we are expanding our scale and also produce "Koshitanrei", which is often used in high-end sake such as Daiginjo, but we continue to strive for higher quality.
Hakuryuu sake is brewed using rice grown in the same climate as the brewery, and is filled with the charm of the rice-producing city of Agano and the pride of its producers.
