Harmony of Nature and Passion

The distillery's name, "Tomartin," comes from the small village of Tomartin, with a population of about 500, about 900 km northwest of London and about 25 km south of Inverness, the main city of Scotland's Highlands.
"Tomartin" is a Scottish and Irish old word "Gaelic," meaning "junira tree-rich hill," and on a holiday, many visitors come to this small village distillery from not only Scotland but from all over the world.

Tomartin has all the essentials for making delicious whiskey.

① Water
The Tomartin Distillery uses pure water from the Monarias Mountains for its refill. This water is drawn from the stream flowing through the village and is called "Alta na Fris" in awe. This water, which slowly passes through the granites over time, is not too mineral-rich and is just right soft, making the resulting whiskey soft and delicate. Delicious whiskey is nurtured in the bounty of the pristine wilderness surrounding Tomartin.
②Whisky maker
Tomartin has many people living in distillery residences and working for generations. These people's passion for Tomartin makes the whisky "Tomartin" even more delicious and wonderful.
This passion continues today since its founding in 1897. The current master distiller (distillery manager) is Graham Yunson. Currently, approximately 170,000 barrels of whiskey are sleeping quietly, waiting for the time to impress malt fans around the world.
