Crocus
"Super Cahors" - A fusion of new world innovation and old world traditions
Crocus was born in 2009 when Paul Hobbs, a global superstar who is now a flying winemaker, began consulting for Georges Viglogle, a prestigious winery in the Cahors region of Malbec.
It was named because the Cahors area is a famous saffron (crocus).
The 2011 vintage will be released for the first time.
Bertrand-Gabriel Vigle, the son of the owner of Georges Vigle and winemaker, is also a Malbec specialist and is known not only in France but around the world.
Their super-powerful collaboration, created by Paul Hobbs bringing the achievements of his success in the New World to Malbeck's hometown of France, has the potential to be called "Super Cahors."
